SAC is a dedicated initiative working to bridge the gap in educational access and opportunity for children and
youth from marginalized and low-income communities in Kottayam. While tuition in government schools may be free,
the hidden costs of education often stand as unseen barriers — forcing many families to make the difficult
choice between survival and schooling.
What We Do
Support for School-Going Children
We provide financial aid and sponsorships to cover essential, non-tuition expenses such as
stationery, notebooks, school bags, uniforms, transportation, and exam fees. These basic needs are
often overlooked in government provisions, yet they are critical for children to regularly attend
school and engage fully in learning. By removing these financial pressures from families, we help
keep children in classrooms where they belong.
Scholarships for Higher Education
SAC also extends support beyond school. We offer scholarships and financial aid to students
transitioning to college, empowering those who have successfully completed school to pursue higher
education without being held back by economic hardship. We believe that every dream deserves a fair
chance, regardless of a student’s background or family income.
