Feed Our Minds is a transformative initiative aimed at improving the quality, nutrition, and sustainability of mid-day meals provided in marginalized and low-income government schools. Recognizing that a healthy meal is not only a basic right but a foundation for learning, this program takes a holistic approach to enhancing school meals — from infrastructure to nutrition levels.
What We Do
Strengthen Kitchen Infrastructure
We build and upgrade in-school kitchen facilities to ensure that mid-day meals are cooked in safe, hygienic, and well-equipped spaces. This includes the construction or renovation of kitchen buildings, installation of smokeless stoves or gas burners, and provision of clean water and storage facilities, creating a dignified environment for cooking and service.
Ensure Nutritious Meals for Every Child
Our program works with local authorities and nutritionists to enhance the nutritional content of meals served. We aim to ensure that each child receives food that not only fills their stomach but fuels their growth, learning, and long-term well-being. Currently, we do this by adding an egg a day to the meals.
Grow What We Serve: School Kitchen Gardens
To promote sustainability, self-reliance, and education, we help schools set up and maintain kitchen gardens on campus. These gardens produce fresh vegetables and herbs that go directly into the meals served—enriching the menu while teaching students about food, nature, and responsibility.
By investing in clean kitchens, balanced nutrition, and fresh homegrown produce, Feed Our Minds program creates a ripple effect: healthier children, better learning outcomes, and stronger communities. Through this program, we believe that a hot, nutritious meal can be more than sustenance — it can be a tool for dignity, equity, and lasting change.
